On my wishlist #1: Eyeshadow palettes

Eyeshadow is my kryptonite. There! I've said it ๐Ÿ˜‚ And below is my current wishlist which will most probably become part of my stash at some point:

1. Urban Decay Naked Cherry
Owning any of the Naked palettes is definitely on my makeup bucket list. For the longest time, I've been eyeing the Naked 3, but once I finally saw it in person I was a bit disappointed as it  mostly consists of midtones.
When this pretty came out I was just starting to enjoy berries and pinks and this one had my heart on the first glance. Price kept me away for a while, but after trying out the Pettit Heat and loving the formula, Cherry got my heart once again. I love how hard pressed eyeshadows are and that there's no freaking fallout, while shadows still blend nicely.

2. ColourPop Good Sport
Again, my newly found fascination with pinks shows its face, but this time paired with some pretty greens (my favorite color). I want to try ColourPop formula and this color story speaks to me. I'll definite…

Finish 19 in 2019: January progress

This is my first update of my #finish19in2019 panning project.

In just a month I made quite a progress on my lipsticks. I hope I'll be able to finish up Avon lipstick in Matte Rose soon. It looks more orange on my lips so I love pairing it with orange monochromatic eye look. I'm slowly working on the powders. Whenever possible, I use an item from the project so I hope to hit pan on one soon (highlighter might be the first one). I've made a lot of progress on my green Avon eye pencil. Perfect day to day pop of color on the lower lash line.  I need to find a way to implement white eye pencil in my routine.  Most obvious would be to use it as an eyeshadow base or in the waterline to brighten up the look.
Below is a picture of the progress made since the beginning of the project:
F stands for February ๐Ÿ˜.

Have you joined any panning project in 2019?
Do you have any tips on panning?

*All items bought with my own hard earned cash or gifted by friends.

With love,

New baby #3: Alverde naturschon Olive eyecream and faceoil

I ran out of my face oil and eyecream recently so I've picked up DM Alverde naturschon items to try out๐Ÿ˜Š. I fell for the pretty packing and the fact that both items are based on olive oil๐Ÿ˜. I love trying out different skincare items and with previous good experience with Balea, especially Alverde, I gave these two a go๐Ÿ˜Š.

Both eyecream and faceoil come in a glass pot/dropper that makes them feel more luxurious then they really are:

Ingredients list:

Eyecream is rich and thick but still quickly sinks into the skin. It faintly smells of olive oil. I do not think that any of the eyecreams I've tried so far did anything spectacular for my eyes, but I've noticed that my makeup creases less when I use eyecream regularly. With my combo skin, rich creams are not good for my T-zone, but my eye area enjoys rich creams more then gels, and this one is no exception. If you're interested in trying out a cheap nourishing eyecream I'd definitely recommend this one๐Ÿ‘ ...if you c…

Pan that Palette 2019: January update

I'm so proud of myself ๐Ÿ˜Ž.
One month of constant using of satin vanilla and I got the tiniest baby pan ๐Ÿ˜. I've used this eyeshadow a lot even before the #panthatpalette2019 but I did not expect that constant usage can lead to so much progress in so little time ๐Ÿ˜.
And just last week I was trying to catch the light to show how deep the dips on eyeshadows are:

In the upcoming month I'm hoping to expand the pan on satin vanilla and hit pan on matte beige (my everyday crease shade):
Pro-tip: It might be considered as cheating but huge pencil brush was a big help in making such fast progress๐Ÿ˜€.
I might give that satin vanilla a try as a highlighter, it looks pretty on my pale skin:

I'm pumped about February, I believe I'll make a ton of progress ๐Ÿ˜€.
Just mustn't let my optimistic bubble to burst ๐Ÿ˜….

Have you joined #panthatpalette2019 project? Do you have any suggestions on how to use up any of the shades?
*Item bought with my own hard earned cash.

Swatches & wear test: Makeup Revolution SophX Extra Spice

Makeup Revolution is a very polarizing brand in the makeup realm. Mostly known for duping high-end makeup top sellers, they've stepped on quite a few toes๐Ÿ™Š. I am constantly eying on thier palettes but I'm kind of put off by the mixed reviews, so I was excited when I got this one for Christmas๐Ÿ˜„. It's a pretty warm toned palette with a few pops such as yellow, hot pink and silver. Great addition to my collection as I am still trying to get along with (now a bit deflated) warm tone trend.
I took these pictures the very night I got them, hence trying to catch the light under my nailart lightbox ๐Ÿคฃ: Shade names L to R:
Everyday – Pale purple duo-chrome with a white shift.Running late - Carrot orange matte. Infinity – Metallic silver.Cheesecake – Chestnut brown matte.Cookie Dough – Soft brown matte. Dreams – Warm champagne shimmer.Vitamin C - Canary yellow matte.Sweet N Sour – Electric orange matte.Twenty One – Cerise pink matteRomance – Burgundy shimmer with a pink shift.Ench…

Mixing nail polishes a.k.a. too cheap to declutter

It's no secret that I own way too many nail polishes ๐Ÿ™Š Last year I did a low buy combined with a year long project polish and have managed to cut my stash down from January 2018 to January 2019 from 190 to 166 bottles. My nail polish collection grew in about 4-5 years so it's not like I buy nail polishes on a weekly basis but they accumulated during time and it's no secret that it's hard to pan them even if you change colors at least 2 times a week.
As my collection grows old๐Ÿ‘ต, I have more and more half empty bottles with shades I'm fed up with, so yesterday I've decided to pick a few bottles that have less then a third left and mix them together.
I chose 12 bottles and cut the numbers to 5: First one was combining dupes together. I love Essence's Juicy love but because there was so little left in the bottle I've simply mixed it with similar shade by Eveline Cosmetics. Next one was combining matt burnt browns by H&M and Boulevard de Beaute (both a…

Pan that Palette 2019: Intro

I love stalking on other people's pan-that-palette projects so I decided to give it a go this year. As my palette collection is pretty fresh and I use most of them as companion palettes to each other, I wanted the most basic one for the project so I have narrowed my list to below two palettes:
 - NYX Perfect Filter Rustic Antique, and - Zoeva Premiere
NYX palette is one of the oldest ones in my collection and has quite a dent in most of the shades, while Zoeva is spanking new but holds smaller pans and as the formula is quite powdery I though that I'd make quick progress, but I could not pull the final trigger between the two so I ended up asking my friends on Instagram via Story poll (love that option, so fun) to make the decsion for me (results are available here). It was a tie for quite a while but at the end palette from NYX was "the winner" and I secretly hoped for this one to as it's first on my declutter list ๐Ÿ™Š.
And now, let me share with you my goals fo…
